Beach Condo

We traveled to the coast to transform our client’s beachfront condo into a family-friendly retreat. This space was a blank slate when we took on the project. The original concrete walls posed several design challenges; much of the existing plumbing and lighting could not be moved. The tongue and groove ceiling in the kitchen added much-needed character and functionality, allowing us to add recessed can lighting in the dimly lit room. Originally a two-bedroom unit, we converted the secondary walk-in closet into a whimsical bunk room for our client’s grandchildren. Each detail was tailored to the needs and tastes of the family, with pops of the owner’s favorite colors added throughout the space. We were able to give this once dull and dark space lots of personality and life.
